Plaid, It's a Canadian Thing

I saw this magnet and had to have it. I'm a total plaid fanatic.
This is a crazy week for me. I've got limited internet access during the day and am in meeting everyday all day. Ugh. It's interesting but tiring. Yesterday I got there at 7:40 and left at 5:45. A looong day including much berating of visiting guests to NOT throw plastic bottles in the trash. Recycle people, recycle. Yes, I'm the recycle Nazi. :-) So I haven't been reading much, trying to get caught up on blogs and kind of vegging when I get home. But here are some pretties for you. Hopefully I'll be back in the reading mode soon.

He's so damn pretty it hurts.

And in honour of kilt-boy, the Bay City Rollers. The ultimate Scottish plaid rockers with whom I was madly enamoured as a child, dancing in my friend Michelle's basement. Ahhh, those were the days. They actually weren't that bad now that I go back and listen to them. But this was our anthem, at the ripe old age of 12. Of course none of us knew what heroin was back in those days either. Ignorance is bliss when you are young (or old).

Yes, you are very good at baking :p

I'm sure you'll be back to reading in no time - as soon as the training is over, anyway!

As a sassenach, I don't think I'm allowed to like plaid, but it sure fits well on these guys :).

I'm too young for the Bay City Rollers :P.

Thanks Chris. I should have said they were birthday cookies for you. :-)

I AM good at baking Wren. I'm here printing some documents now. I'm kind of tired of being the admin assistant for a roomful of people.

My Grandmother and her family emigrated from Scotland in 1911 so I think I'm genetically obliged to like plaid. Wait, as a lowlander does this mean we can't be friends anymore? Oh no!

Plaid is so totally sexy!!!!!!! ;)

I really liked that song back in the day. *sigh*

I'm with Lily, ha, ha! I remember that song. Good luck with the work-week, Tam, and happy reading when you get to it.

OMG, Tam, you outdid yourself with today's pretties. And I totally agree about the first one.

Man, I never thought plaid could look so good!

I've always hated plaid, for the same reason I've always hated permanents and going to Mass: my mother used to force all of them on me. Guess I don't take too well to coercion.

I've decided I like plaid now too!

Thanks Lily and Val. Ahhh, to be young again. Well, not 12, maybe 21. :-)

Plaid has be applied in judicious ways KZ. However a traumatic childhood trauma with tartan can leave a lasting effect. Perhaps if you just stare at my plaid examples you'll start to get past it. Sure as hell can't hurt to try. :-D

Thanks Eyre.

Yay Kaetrin. Another plaid convert. *does the happy sword dance in my kilt*

Love plaid, love men in kilts. Did I mention I love plaid? lol You'd think I would have married a lumberjack but NOOOOO a motorcyle guy in leather. lol
Ah the Bay City Rollers - I used to love them and yes Saturday Night was one of my favorite dance around the room songs as well.

Sorry for the long days. Get some rest if you can! :)

I know Mush, I know. :-)

Well, leather is hot too Tracy. LOL Maybe you can just get him some plaid underwear to go under the leather.

Fine. Just let us old folks reminisce in our rockers okay? Go away you young whipper snappers. Kids these days. Sheesh.
