Yellow Fever

No, I don't have yellow fever. That would be something to post about wouldn't it? I just have nada. Nothing's got me all in a twist (well, work stuff, but you don't want me to start that rant, seriously, you don't). I can't believe summer is almost over. I saw the geese are starting to flock back and some of the trees near my house are shedding leaves. *whimper* I don't like extreme heat but I like it better than extreme cold. Oh well, come oooooon global warming.

I haven't read anything really in the last few days. Last night I started Fall Down the Mountain by PD Singer but I'm only getting started so nothing to report although it makes me hungry. I want a cinnamon bun sooooo bad. So enjoy the boys in yellow and Elton John doing his thing with some frightening hair and glasses. The man had .... style? Well, had something. :-)

UPDATE: Make sure you go by Kris' and read Matthew Vandrew's "pick it for me" story. He did an amazing job and actually incorporated ALL of the concepts in the project. He's a crazy man.

There is some frightening hair in this video.

Yellow isn't my favorite color, but those boys make it look good!

Not that many people can make yellow look good, but they manage it.

I'm not a huge yellow fan either. I think because it makes me look like I have jaundice.

But I have to say bright yellow on dark skin is delicious.

I never thought yellow could be so sexy. ;)

How is it that the fully clothed guy with just a nipple peeking out happens to be far more sexy that the ripped guys in yellow speedos?

I think it must be a female thing. Erotic is far better than blatant.

Hope your day at work goes better, sweetie.

Yellow seems to have a bad reputation Lily. :-)

You're right Jen. It's all about mystery and allure sometimes. Yay it's Friday. That's all I have to say. LOL

Yep, I'm sad too that summer is almost over! Especially since my vacay is coming to an end and the EDJ (bleh, don't get me started either) is annoyingly soon going to eat my time away again.
Hmmm, that rescue guy has nice thighs...

I'm not sad about this particular summer ending in any way whatsoever. This has been the most relentlessly hot and humid summer I can remember since 1987. Bleaahhhh. Plus, fall is my favourite season :) Bring on falling leaves!!!! YAY! :D

Welcome back Janna. Hope you had a wonderful holiday! I haven't been by your blog yet but I see you have a post. Hopefully we'll get to see some pics too.

Don't make me smack you Justin. >:-| I just hate winter, even though fall is fine. It's been pretty decent since we got back from vacation and even then we only had hot days in Boston (hmmm), New York and Philly. The rest was great.

Yay! I <3 fall, winter & spring! Especially SPRING!

What a sweetie Adam. I'm glad to see you have a guard cat at home. I like spring too, both kinds. :-)

Thanks, Tam! Haven't had the time to look at the pictures yet, maybe I'll post some later. :)

I can't believe Adam and I have the same taste in seasons -- except I put autumn above spring. I *REALLY LOVE WINTER*. Maybe because I don't live in Canada? Granted, I mostly prefer the first half of winter -- I love Christmas a *LOT*. It starts to get depressing after Jan 6 (I eek out the full 12 days of Christmas and then some) when you finally HAVE to take down all the lights and decorations and all you're left with is dirty slush and short days :( January and February are not great months.

Most of all, though, I love HAVING seasons. I would never want to live in the south or in California. I am not impressed by the Californians who say "oh, if you need snow you just drive to the mountains!" I like having the seasons change.

I also love snow. Like a kid, I still get excited when it snows (even though I don't get "snow days" -- though for some reason the Boston area schools shut down at the first hint of a snowflake, which I find absurd -- in Illinois we almost *NEVER* had snow days, even if we had blizzards and -50 degrees fahrenheit with windchill). Yeah I hate shoveling but snow makes everything so pretty.

The first and third pix nearly made me melt off my chair. I'm getting to one of "those" parts in my WIP now, and since one of the protags just turned eighteen, the images proved very...inspirational. ;-)

Today, since the air is about as breathable as warm pond scum, I wouldn't mind some winter. In fact, I'd love winter if I never had to leave the house, and there were sleigh bells jing-a-linging outside instead of snowplows grinding down the road. :(

If I never had to go outside Jusin, except when it's crips and cold and I could just stay inside all the time like KZ, I wouldn't mind winter. But driving in the snow, walking to my work with a -40 windchill just doesn't do it for me. We don't get many snow days either.

Tam said...

*picks KZ up off the floor and dusts her off* There there. Glad I could be service ma'am. :-)

We've had pretty decent weather lately. It's getting down in the 40's at night so cooling off nicely now. So I'll let you guys keep winter down in the ... midwest? Is that what you're called? And I'll keep nothing more severe than autumn up here. :-)

Huh. I just noticed by sweetie in the yellow jeans only has one shoe on. Poor dear, lost his shoe.
