- Fall at Your Feet - Crowded House
- Tongue Tied - Faber Drive
- Santa Monica - Theory of a Deadman
- High School Never Ends - Bowling For Soup
- Defying Gravity (Kurt) - Glee
Faber Drive is a Canadian band from Mission, BC (near Vancouver) which started in 2004. We saw them in concert a couple of years ago.
Theory of a Deadman is also a Canadian band, again from near Vancouver who started in 2001. This song is an older one.
Bowling For Soup started in 1994 and are from Texas. They have some very witty lyrics and often make social commentary in a funny way. My daughter follows their lead singer on Twitter. This is an older song.
Glee. Well, what's to say. I can't wait for it to start next week. I adore Kurt and hope he gets a love interest this season. I'm still hoping for him and Puck. :-D Chris Colfer has a great voice. Ugh. That other video sucked. This is better but no pictures.
I have a couple of those bands from you, and hey, I have Bowling For Soup singing "Bare Necessities" from the Jungle Book. Huh. :)
They have a great version of Gilligan's Isle which I try to avoid playing in public because I can't help but sing along. It's not pretty.
What's the most unexpected thing on your music player? As in, the thing that no one who knows you would expect to find on there?
Mine's probably the Partridge Family. *ahem*
Maybe Singing in the Rain by Gene Kelly or some of the Louis Armstrong stuff. Oh wait, SATURDAY Night by the Bay City Rollers. LOL (Tell me you didn't just start singing and spelling that out.)
Um, actually, I was already into alternative music at an early age, so I can't actually recall that song. :)
I have a lot of old jazz, such as Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, etc. I also have some hip hop (very specific and limited stuff).
Hmm. Maybe the Tom T. Hall would be more unexpected. ;)
GET OUT! This is where my plaid fetish came from I'm sure.
Of course they were all totally hooked on heroin while making manpris popular before their time.
Hmm. Possibly heard it while rollerskating in high school. :)
My favorite Crowed House is Don't Dream It's Over, love that song!
I had not heard of Faber Drive or Bowling for Soup but I really liked both videos.
The other two, not so much.
LOL, S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y!! Boy did that bring back memories!
We ave a lot of Faber Drive and BfS around here. The Bay City Rollers brings back memories of singing and dancing in my friend Michelle's basement.
Nice! Love Crowded House. I hadn't heard of the Canadian bands before. Thanks :)
I finally got to listen to that song Lily. I like that one too.
Glad I could introduce you to some new music Janna. Have a great evening.
My girls listen to their Glee CD's constantly and Defying Gravity is an all time favorite of ours. We listen to that song all the time.
Theory of A Deadman is one of my favs as is Bowling for Soup. I've not heard Faber Drive before - very nice.
Super Tam, singlehandedly promoting Canadian music. :-)
Faber Drive are a fun pop band. I like them and it's always cool when you've seen someone in concert. Can't wait for Glee to start next week.
"My favorite Crowed House is Don't Dream It's Over, love that song!"
Me too, Lily! It gives me chills!
