Caged - A Free Story

Since I'm away on holiday, I'm not sure there will be much in the way of book postings, not that I've posted that much in the books department lately. *sigh* Can you say slump? So, this is a little story I wrote for Wave when we had a small debate about where there could be a hamster shifter in m/m. I said yes, and here he is. Just click on the little guy above and you'll get his story. I'm still waiting for TA Chase to hold up his end of the bargain and write the giraffe shifter story. :-)
Special thanks to Chris for reading it over and editing it for me.
I'll try and get on to answer comments later in the day today. Depends on my internet access. Have a great week everyone.

You are very welcome, Tam!! Hopefully you're having a good visit with Mel right now. :)

Not yet Chris. LOL It's 8:41 and I'm the only one up here but he should be home soon.

Your work was definitely appreciated because I HATE editing and proof-reading. :-)

And I like editing and proofing, so it worked well!

Give Mel a hug for me. That oughta freak him out.

Oh, there's a contest that might interest you over at my place this morning... along with a pumkin ravioli boy misadventure. :D

I think Mel will enjoy the hug and I definitely want in on that contest. And poor PRB. He's doomed I tell ya, doomed.

LOL - the next commenter after you (Seanna) had a lovely little story involving the Alphabet Giant and getting a giant orange P to fix his spelling. :)

Totally brilliant! I never thought it would work with a were-hamster, oops, I meant shifter, but I loved the story. :)

Hey, Tam, is there a way you can change the story so one can save it as a pdf??? Thanks...

Ooo, now I have something to read at the end of the day! Your stories are always a unique treat, Tam.

And I'm even more envious of your vacation after seeing the photos. That's one part of the country I've wanted to visit more than any other. Something about upper New England really "calls" to me. I think I must've lived there in a past life. Well, if I had past lives. :-)

Tam said...

Thanks Lily, mustn't offend Marcin. :-)

It claims that pdf download is allowed Chris. Hmmm. Try THIS LINK

It is beautiful here KZ. Well, I'm in downtown Boston right now paying just to breath the air I think, but it's a splurge for us. The ocean was gorgeous today, I can see why people move to the coast.

Hope you enjoy the story.

Tam said...

Ah ha. I fixed it I think. Should be downloadable now.

Thanks, Tam! That link is better the other one was directly to a flash doc that couldn't be saved.

Very cute story, Tam! I've always had the impression that hamsters really are that cranky, ha, ha! Definitely not as sweet as rabbits or as good-natured as rats. And I'm with K.Z. in my envy of your new vacation -- I'd love to see New England. I like the thought of being able to drive around and see several small states in one day. :)

Tam said...

Thanks Val. I've never owned a hamster so can't speak to their personality, but I'd say being trapped in a cage could make you a bit cranky. :-)

It is neat to cover many states in a day, although when we traveled to Asheville from Columbus last year we passed through 5 states, granted only for a few miles in some of them. but it was cool to say we were in 5 states in 7 hours.

WERE- HAMSTER...

***shudders *** but dragging myself off slowly, crawling, stopping to pull up socks*** to read...

In about 10 minutes check somewhere near the cage if you see a dead body... ***still crawling....***

:)

Yay, I just downloaded it and added to my Tam file. :)

EH. EH! Can you hear me? *pats cheek gently* I hope you're okay. :-)

Glad it worked Lily.

Tam, that story is 13 different kinds of awesome! I would have gladly paid for it instead of that football playing daddies who are probably really brothers book that I read the other day.

Tam said...

LOL Thanks Eyre, that's a compliment indeed.

O yippee! Another one of your stories! That's great, even if hamsters freak me out. ;)

This was so good. I love Marcin, he's a very snarky shifter hamster and Hamilton is adorable. I can't wait for more of these too.

Tam said...

What's with all the hamster-phobia here? Look at that guy Janna. He's adorable. :-)

Thanks so much Mary. More? Hmmm. We shall see. :-)

Janna said...

Sure, uber adorable! Good thing his teeth aren't showing. ;)

Tam said...

Ummm. Don't look too closely at the one on the cover then Janna. I think there might be some teeth there. :-)

Janna said...

Yeah, but at least he's in his cage. :)

Very cool. Another Tam gem. :)

Thank Kris. :-)
