Happy New Year Everyone

I hope everyone had a good New Year's Eve and is not too hung over. I basically stayed home and got in a writing groove. I didn't even have a drink, mostly because I was too lazy to get one. :-) I had to go out at 2:00 and pick up my daughter and a friend anyway. I don't mind having a quiet time at home though. I have one more day off work and I can't believe how quickly the ten days passed. I could use another ten, or twenty. :-)

I'm not going to come up with any great resolutions because it's just too depressing when they all fall by the wayside, but January is a nice time to start fresh and put all the blerg of 2011 behind and move forward. So many of my friends had an awful year and I hope that 2012 will bring much more happiness and health and other good stuff. I will try and use the gym membership I paid for more, to eat healthier and actually get off my butt and submit some stories that are languishing.

Speaking of stories. (Wow, what a segue.) I posted another edition of my Halloween story over at Brief Encounters yesterday. You can download it free at Goodreads. Just click on the cover below.

Ooh - I'll have to check out Goodreads. Goodreads is one of those things that fell through the cracks.
We stayed in on New Year's also. I think I like staying at home anyway. I'm so boring.

You should resolve to visit San Diego this year!!

Hope you (and the kid) have a truly wonderful 2012, and I look forward to reading more of your writing!

Goodreads can suck you in Michelle, but it's a good way for me to keep track of all the books I read. You'll find me at http://www.goodreads.com/tam_in_canada

I don't think we'll make it as far as San Diego. Maybe LA for a few days in March, if we drive down from San Francisco.

Wishing you and Harry, and Cooper of course, a wonderful 2012 as well.

Aw, thanks. If you make it to LA, let me know. I could drive up and meet you for lunch or a drink or something!
