Wear Purple Day - October 20
October 20 has been declared the day to wear purple in honour of those young people who've taken their own lives due to bullying over their sexuality or perceived sexuality. Unfortunately I don't own anything that is suitable for the workplace in purple, however I will be sure to wear it when I get home. So the best I can do today is provide you with some other official supporters of the cause along with some dancing Asian boys in a song called Purple Line by DBSK.

Purple has never looked lovelier!
Quite bizarre mix of English and Japanese lyrics in that song. Still they were nice to look at, and that blond one could have stepped straight out the pages of a Yaoi book - uke, anyone?
I'm wearing purple today, but then again no-one cares what I wear to the office since it's just me in there.

I did find another purple t-shirt I forgot I had so I'm wearing it under a white blouse. At least it doesn't have writing all over the front of it like my other.
Purple is one of my favorite colors but it really doesn't look all that great on me. I'll dig something up and wear it proudly. Thanks for the heads up...and the beautiful men. :)

Tumblr is a wonderful place Wren. :-D It only takes one shirt to count for sure. I wonder why so many of us don't have much purple? I must rainbow-ify my wardrobe. Except yellow, I look like I have jaundice when I wear yellow.

Um, not so much. ;) It's SIMPLE. It's flattering to my coloring. And it hides the hair of black kitties. Or did I get black kitties because their hair wouldn't show? :D
I regret that I didn't get tan cats when we got ours. Black cats + tan carpet = constant state of cat hair mess. Luckily no one ever comes to visit so I just ignore it.
Fascinating thing about the cream-colored (with brown flecks) berber in my condo - it doesn't really show cat hair. It slowly turns grey and it's not until I vacuum that I realize how much cat hair there was on the floor! O.o

My daughter said quite a few kids wore purple at school and one boy didn't have purple clothes so they drew on him with purple markers. Ummm. Okay, again, the thought that counts right? LOL
