Okay, I seem to have very few pictures of people. Huh. I'll have to grab those from others.
In this set there is a picture of Janna, Leontine and Tracy, me and Clare London, me and Cole and I think another Clare. Most of the pictures of the park/open area are Jackson Square, not far from the hotel. There are fortune tellers, musicians and artists all around it. The river boat was not ours, but passed us. Lots of pics of the interesting tombs at the cemeteries. The first pic is the memorial garden (and graves you can't see) of the unclaimed victims of Katrina.
I think most of the pictures of houses were on Bourbon Street or Royal Street in the French Quarters. That's about it. Lots of houses with Halloween decorations and many of the balconies covered in plants which I'm sure helps blunt the noise and heat in summer.
If you see something you want to know what it is, you can stop the slide show and note the picture number at the bottom and I'll try to figure it out.

Oh, what a beautiful place! Bet it's nicest in the winter months. I so want to go there!
Did I see photos of sex toys, or were those plumbing fixtures?
And what building had the Halloween decorations on the balconies? Was that your hotel? Loved 'em!
I want to live in that little yellow house and just write, write, write...
Lovely, sigh-inducing photos, Tam, as usual.
It was gorgeous and just so freaking quaint in the French Quarter.
Umm, they looked like plumping fixtures. Some were beyond human usage. Really, no one's colon is 3 feet long.
The Halloween decorations were either on businesses or just people's houses. We stayed in an apartment about a mile away from the heart of the French Quarter (30 min. walk or less). It was boring, a plain red wall with two doors. But huge inside. 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, parts of it we never even went into.
That little yellow house was cute and if you ever get the chance to go you really should. In winter. It was 30C when we were there, I can only imagine the humidity in July. Ugh.
I've been at the end of January and it was chillier than I expected.
I'm amused at how many pictures I took that were similar to pictures you took. You'd think we were walking up and down the same streets or something... ;)
So I'm thinking this looks like a lovely place and what a lot of pretty houses when....huh? was that a couple of pictures of dildos? LOL! Eclectic to say the least :).
NOLA does look like an interesting place to visit and I'm glad you had fun. Cole looks a complete sweetie.
You'd think huh Chris? I'm sure there were other streets there, but ... I think spring and fall would be the nicest.
Well, I like to keep readers on their toes Jen. Don't want you to fall into complacency, house, house, house, ANAL BEADS, house. :-)
Cole is flipping adorable and sweet.
Oh, it looks amazing! I'm gutted it won't be held there again next year...
Cole looks very cute and huggable (as do you, and I already know how huggable Clare is!)
Thanks Jo. :-) Cole is imminently huggable. I'm kind of disappointed it won't be there again. There is so much to see and do (I swear I only saw three streets in the whole French Quarter) that it makes sense just to leave it there unless you are going to do a West Coast/East Coast thing to help with travel. More European readers and authors could come if it was in Washington or Boston or somewhere closer to them. But ... I guess when we organize our own "by invitation only" conference (aka party) in Amsterdam we can run it our way. LOL
The fun we had, the memories we share...Tam, the pics make it all come back!! Love it!!
It was so wonderful to spend time with you guys. Great memories, we'll hopefully make some more soon.
You took some really great pictures of NOLA. I got mostly pictures of people - which is great but doesn't really tell anyone about the city.
I had hardly any people pics. I was probably too busy gabbing and figured I'd get them from someone else rather than have 5 of us all taking the same picture.
That is some cake.
It was lovely Michelle. :-D and I didn't even get a bite of a butt. *sad face*
